How to backup and restore your iPhone data?

If you are constantly worrying about losing your iPhone data – contacts, photos, apps, etc. here are the simple steps that you can use to reduce the stress. Yes, by applying the below mentioned steps you can conveniently backup your iPhone data and restore it as well when you need to do it. Are you ready to know them all?

iPhone Data Backup
There are two ways in which you can backup your iPhone data. This includes using:

iTunes

§  To manually backup your data using iTunes, connect your iPhone to a PC that has the latest iTunes version installed in it.
§  Click on the ‘File’ menu and then select 'Back up’ from the Devices option.
§  To check that the backup process was complete, go to iTunes Preferences and check if the name of your iOS-based device is listed there. If it is there, it will mean that the backup was successful

 iCloud
§  To manually backup the data using this option, access the ‘Settings’ option and then click on ‘iCloud’ and then ‘Storage and Backup’.
§  If you have already opted for the automatic backup option by enabling ‘Backup on your iPhone’, iCloud will continue to do it provided your screen is locked, you are connected to steady power supply, and you have a good WI-FI Internet connection.

iPhone Data Restore
Like in the case of data backup, you can restore the data on your iPhone using either of the two options mentioned:

     iTunes
§  Connect your iPhone to the computer and then select the File menu.
§  Go to ‘Devices’ and then click on the Restore from Back up option.

    iCloud
§  You will have to delete all data from a device to be able to restore the data from iCloud. To do it, go to ‘Settings’, then the ‘General’ tab and then select the ‘Reset’ option to ‘Erase all Content and Settings’.
§  Follow this by using the ‘Set up your device’ option in the Setup Assistant and thereby signing in to iCloud to complete the restoration process.

While you are attempting to restore your data from iCloud, remember that the WI FI connection should be ‘On’ and that your iPhone shouldn’t run low on battery during the process. Also, the ‘Restore from iCloud’ option should be selected and you should furnish the correct passwords at the entry points to successfully complete the task.
